FAQ FOR WHISTLEBLOWING

Whistleblowing refers to the act of reporting information by an individual—most commonly an employee—regarding unlawful, irregular, or unethical conduct and practices.

Reports may be submitted by:

  • Employees, workers, self-employed individuals, consultants, contractors, volunteers, and trainees (including unpaid), working for Hellenic Train.
  • Individuals working for third parties that supply goods, services, or execute projects in collaboration with the company.
  • Freelancers and consultants providing services to Hellenic Train. 
  • Shareholders, as well as individuals holding administrative, managerial, supervisory, or representative roles.

These individuals may report information concerning breaches that they have become aware of in the context of their professional activities.

Reports may concern information on breaches related to acts or omissions (of any nature), attributable to employees or third parties, including but not limited to:

  • Violations of anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies. 
  • Accounting-related civil or criminal offences.
  • Breaches of European Union law and applicable national implementing legislation. 
  • Acts or omissions affecting the financial interests of the European Union or Greece.
  • Conduct that undermines the objectives of EU legislation (e.g. discriminatory practices).
  • Unlawful conduct or conduct contrary to the Code of Ethics, the Organization, Management and Control Model, and company regulations, in accordance with Law 4990/2022.
  • Any conduct that may cause harm to Hellenic Train or the FS Italiane Group, including reputational damage.

 

Hellenic Train provides multiple channels for submitting named or anonymous reports:

  • Online platform (company website): via web form at www.hellenictrain.gr 
  • Dedicated whistleblowing platform
  • By post: Hellenic Train, Petmeza 13 & Syngrou Ave. 41, Athens 11743, Greece (Attention: Reports & Monitoring Officer – RMO) 
  • By email: rmo@hellenictrain.gr 
  • Orally: through a statement to the RMO or via a scheduled meeting within a reasonable timeframe, with minutes recorded and signed by the reporting person.
